The Guild of Designers & Artists event on "Smart Cities" which is the catchphrase of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government as it lays the groundwork for his ambitious program aimed at setting up 100 such urban settlements nationwide. Mr Talleen Kumar - CEO & MD, DMICDC shared their plans through a very interesting presentation. It was a meaningful event with a “Jugalbandi of Architects” – Karan Grover and Rohit Saxena(Perkins Eastman) on "Smart Sustainable Cities." Modi's vision for advanced cities that benefit from the latest technology has finally begun to take shape with the Ministry of Urban Development identifying almost all the locations where they will be built as well as existing cities that are to be remodelled on these lines. The GDA is an association of Professionals & Intellectuals from different streams of Arts and Performing Arts and its main purpose is promotion and creation of a platform for Designers and Artists to showcase their talents and share their expertise nationally and internationally.

One of the key agendas of the association is also to create opportunities for the Traditional Arts and Crafts to be used in private and public spaces in order to keep the rich cultural heritage alive.
